Private MatWork Pilates Training

Private matwork training uses circles, weighted balls, stability balls and flex bands. Private instruction or special group sessions are based on your fitness needs catered to each individual. 6:15-7:15 PM - Beginner Mat Pilates
The Wellness Solution, 366 US Route One, Falmouth, ME

Description: In this class you will learn the basic principles and techniques that form the framework of all the pilates exercises, helping you to focus and engage the proper abdominal muscles for maximum results. The goal is to work these deep abdominal muscles to stabilize the torso while moving the rest of the body with ease. This mat-based workout is designed to increase core strength, flexibility, endurance and posture without adding bulk or stressing your joints.

Thursdays, October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, November 6, 13, 20 - Beginner/Intermediate Mat Pilates
Times: 9:00-10:00am 
$96.00 for eight weeks, drop-ins are welcome at $15/class

Description: In this class you will perform the beginner pilates repertoire designed to increase core strength, flexibility, endurance and posture without building bulk or stressing your joints. You will also be introduced to the intermediate exercises and transitions. They will be broken down and taught in detail. Small apparatus such as the circle, toning balls and flex band may be added to further enhance the mat work. . Introduction to Mat Pilates and/or familiarity with the basic principles of pilates is highly recommended. If needed, private sessions are available (fee to be discussed) to go over the basic principles and help prepare you for this class.
